REW tools & timing

Work with the selected channel. Measurements stay untouched.

Imports become Audyssey target adjustments, not direct DSP filters. This does not reproduce the tutorial’s “perfect speaker” method or bypass Audyssey correction.

01 / EXPORT MEASUREMENTS

Bring your room into REW

Check the source rate. Values are not resampled. Each microphone position is exported separately without time shifts.

02 / IMPORT A CURVE

REW →

Use relative dB around zero, not a measured SPL trace. Non-zero phase, binary .req and .mdat are not supported.

Add parametric bands manually

Peaking filters (PK), sampled at 48 kHz into a target adjustment curve. This is a magnitude approximation, not receiver biquad programming.

03 / DISTANCE & DELAY

Timing for

Positive = delay this channel more → decrease its distance setting. Negative = advance it → increase distance. Do not infer inter-channel timing from independently aligned peaks.

After editing, use Export .ady above. REW runs separately. Always review the result in MultEQ Editor; no automatic receiver upload or acoustic verification is performed here.

01 / OPEN

Start with your room.

Export an .ady calibration from the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app and open it here.

02 / REFINE

Make it sound like you.

Adjust points, try a curve, and set correction limits for each speaker.

03 / LISTEN

Bring the curve home.

Export a new file, import it in the MultEQ Editor app, then send it to your receiver. Keep your original backup.
